here goes diddle squat.
It’s a first for me Sir Percy.
Re garding Dry suits. It may have been the attire of the 50’s and 60’s for Bridges and Hass.
But BSAC member Mr Bond 007. I recall removing a dry suit in the middle of very hot summer to reveal dinner jacket and tie, complete with carnation. Whimp? I should coco. Money Penny’s got your number.

Ah, but Bond was just a fiction. Mike Nelson a.k.a. Lloyd Bridges was real and everything you saw was real! And what about Primus……another wet suit devotee. All real as well….every episode chocked full with fact.
These were mens men, not just a glorified civil servant like Bond. And what about Charles Hawtry in Carry On Diving……wet suit!

Charles Hawtry diving? No no no dear boy. One tiffen to many there. I think the phrase, ” beware the Devil’s in skirts”. Is a reference to going semi commando in India.
I can see the appeal of scantilly clad diving, dressed up in lace, dressed up in rubber. In warmer climes.
But in the channel!!
I think not, give me a dry suit any day. Banish the speedo’s and chilly willy syndrome. Brrrr
Man or mouse? Just show me the cheese.
